IN AT THE WIRE - We took in two special events at the Scout Bar, the annual Christmas show (over four years running) with Southern Reign and special guest, La Porte musician Keith Bracewell in town from Los Angeles, and the TEXAS BUZZ MUSIC AWARDS. According to 94.5 FM Big Guy, A.D., "voting was extremely close and all of the winners this year have worked hard through the entire year". Drum roll please... Best Vocalist - Stormy Pina Adelaie, Best Alternative Band - Last Place You Look, Best Metal Band - Metalvenge, Best Rock Band - From Guts To Glory, Band of the Year - Saturate, Best Live Performance - The Hunger. "One of the bigger surprises this year was Chris not winning the Best Vocalist Award, however Erase the Virus, was nominated for so may awards might have spread things out a bit much." Now hear this... The first Life Time Achievement award was presented to Thomas Wilson for his over the top support of live music. "Very few have made a contribution as Thomas. The man works his butt off to support live Texas rock and doesn't have to." Congrats!
